g2+1 was part of the project team assembled by JSA Architects to help them craft a developoment plan for a new continuing care facility on a 33 acre parcel adjoining the client's existing retirement and care facility.

 

g2+1's initial work focused on doing an evaluation of the site to determine its opportunities and constraints to development.  Following this effort we contributed to project visioning to create an optimum site plan as well as prepare conceptual sketches to test alternative site and amenity treatments to satisfy the client's development and maintenance program.

 

Responsible for schematic design and final design/construction documents for the facility's overall landscape and hardscape including specific features such as its project entry, streetscape, front door entry, south patio serving as its primary outdoor space, assisted living outdoor garden/walkway space and landscapes for two clusters of two bedroom cottages.
