Silver Lake Residence
Madison, New Hampshire

Invited by Stoney Ridge Environmental to prepare an overall site and landscape master plan in conjunction with their proposed shoreland dredge and fill permits regarding impervious cover and reconstruction of a failed shoreline edge.

Design included replacement of a wooden deck with pervious modular paver patio, grade changes and slope stabilization along the shoreline to improve water access, removal of a failing shoreline dock and construction of a new natural boulder shoreline edge.  Also designed was a serpentine walk of granite stone steps and pervious landings to provide safe and comfortable access over a 50 degree slope from the house to the lake.  This included removal of an 80' long dilapidated wooden stairs.  Native landscape was installed to finish and stabilize all disturbed areas and to provide an appropriate native landscape setting.

Design refinements were continually crafted as construction progressed in response to unknown conditions encountered.  Reconstruction of the shoreline, some walkway and patio work had to be done by barge since this was the only means available to access the property's shoreline.
