Opechee Inn & Spa Site

Laconia, New Hampshire

 

g2+1 teamed with professional engineer Robert Rook, to create a framework for an overall site development design in close collaboration with Bruss Construction of Barnstead, NH.

 

This project featured the renovation and reuse of a mill building into guest rooms, a restauarnt and health spa in conjunction with a convention/exposition center. The hardscape and landscape design focused on creating a sense of "entry and place" for the guests, discreate outdoor spaces as retreats from their rooms, and dispersed amenities throughout the site to allow patrons to experience the joys of Opechee Lake.

 

Detail design included the main facility entry, multiple pedestrian entries/courtyard, overall landscape, walkways, overlook and future restaurant terrace and boat dock. Finally, g2+1 was also responsible for taking this project through the City of Laconia's Site Plan Review approval process including all public presentations.
