Newmarket Main Street Mill Redevelopment

Newmarket, New Hampshire

 

g2+1 was retained by Chinburg Builders, Inc. of Durham, NH to help them develop a master plan for the redevelopment of the mill buildings along main street in Newmarket, NH. Initial work was done in 2007 to do some overall project visioning and then prepare graphic illustrations to assist the owner in securing some grant funding for redevelopment.

 

In 2009 g2+1, prepared preliminary site, landscape and hardscape designs while collaborating with the project engineers as they developed the overall site, grading and infrastructure design. Key features of the project were design of a courtyard, stair feature and overlook for tenant, resident and public use as well as public access across the property to a pedestrian bridge that offers an eventual connection to the Lamprey River. Final design and construction documents were completed to secure town approval.

 

Currently, we are providing site specific designs for a new building/tenant entry and public patio, courtyard area refinements and related landscape. Construction commenced in the winter of 2010 and continues.
