Retained by the Margate Resort to design and permit a new 3,800 square foot lakeside bridal ceremony patio located on an existing peninsula and to design related shoreline landscape improvements to achieve state and local approvals.

The landscape design included rain gardens, low berm and stone walls integral to proposed planting beds to create barriers to intercept upslope storm water drainage.  This water would be directed into planting beds so it could percolate into the subgrade rather than directly into the lake. This technique was applied to the frontage of three lots. We reconstructed a dilapidated stone wall defining the outside edge of the existing peninsula with a natural granite boulder edge placed to mirror a natural shoreline profile. Prepared applications for NH State Dredge and Fill and Shoreland Protection Act permits and a city conditional use permit to account for work proposed along the shoreline and inside various setbacks.

Bridal patio was constructed with a variety of Unilock concrete paver styles to create the look of natural bluestone with a decorative perimeter band.  Patio construction had to be coordinated with construction of 16 concrete footings designed for a high water level to anchor a seasonal tent structure that could withstand 90 MPH winds off Lake Winnipesaukee.
